Thank you for being here! Over 21 years of experience as a classroom teacher and a reverence for mindfulness afforded me the opportunity of a lifetime. I lovingly said goodbye to the brick and mortar classroom and have recreated myself as a mindfulness mentor. I am now the educator I always dreamed of being, sharing information & firsthand accounts from my journey as a well rested and hydrated adult. I jumped off the grind culture hamster wheel 4 years ago and have never looked back. I share from experience emphasizing awareness of the present moment and specialize in customized guided visualization & Yoga Nidra recordings for adults and children.
I am passionate about interest, curiosity, mindful and movement based learning. I enjoy sharing breathwork, movement, meditation, dance and games with learners (to name a few). Working with hundreds of children over the years has taught me THE most important precursor to learning to read... COMFORT. When a learner is relaxed, at ease and having fun - THAT is when they are available to learn! THAT is what BLISSFUL LEARNING is all about & I LOVE guiding students beyond their perceived potential!
I hold a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and a Deep Play for Kids Advanced Children’s Mindfulness and Yoga Teacher certification. I am a certified Yoga Nidra facilitator & hold a Reiki Level l & Qigong certification as well. In November 2022, I co-authored a book for adults titled, How Yoga Empowered My Life. Like many of the children I taught, I struggled with a one-size-fits-all approach to learning. I strained to learn to read, to tell time and to comfortably socialize with peers. I would smile on the outside and inside I was anxious. Holding in my confusing feelings turned into near constant belly aches. Through the power of dance and yoga, I was able to shift built up emotions and symptoms would lessen significantly.
After experiencing over a decade of daily mindfulness practices, I have realized the power of the mind body & soul connection. This has led to an overall sense of wellness, which translates into a newfound joy and passion for teaching and learning. It is one based on ease, curiosity, interest, joy & MOVEMENT. By combining mindfulness practices with learning, Lotus Mind Learning & BLISSFUL LITERACY were created. I want all children everywhere to experience it.
